Founded by Courtney Royal in 2007, Pheasant Ridge Collision Co. is one of Philadelphia’s most-reviewed independent auto body shops.
Courtney Royal grew up in a body shop — her father ran a two-bay garage off Frankford Avenue in the 1980s. When she opened Pheasant Ridge Collision Co. in the spring of 2007, she carried three rules with her: give an honest estimate the first time, use OEM parts whenever the insurer will allow it, and never hand a car back to a customer that isn’t road-tested and detailed.
Two decades in, those rules still hang in the office. What’s changed is the equipment: a Chief laser frame rack, two downdraft paint booths, a Hunter alignment lift, and a bay dedicated to ADAS calibration for the current generation of driver-assist systems. What hasn’t changed is that Courtney still writes most of the estimates herself.
If the smarter fix is a $60 bumper repair instead of a $900 replacement, that’s the estimate you get.
